Ages of Cataria is a village story generator! Develop your villager’s stories as they grow old in your town, customize your village to your aesthetic, and discover a fantastical new land.

Legend has it the continent of Cataria was home to an ancient civilization. One day, the continent mysteriously vanished and became lost to the world. After hundreds of years, the land of Cataria has been rediscovered and all that remains of the civilization are ruins.

Now, thousands have set off to explore Cataria to settle a new home and uncover the mysteries of this land. Craft the origin story of your village, choose your starting location, and uncover the legend for yourself.

Managing your villagers in Cataria means more than assigning them to jobs around town. Because your villagers have personalities, form relationships, and grow old, they will have their own unique needs.

As you play, your villagers will experience their lives over 7 real-world weeks. Follow the generations of your town as new villagers are born and loved ones pass away.

Shortly after landing on Cataria, a shooting star will crash into the ground planting a Spirit Tree nearby. When your villagers pass, their spirits will enter the Spirit Treecausing it to grow. Here, your ancestor’s spirit will watch over the village by sending gifts and other blessings.

Choose between two ancestries: Humans or Elves. Elves are plant-like beings, while Humans are… well, we all know what Humans are. Each ancestry has unique building aesthetics, requires different resources, and experience different lifestyle events.

Villagers will have different skill proficiencies, personalities traits, and wellness levels. You will need to manage your villager’s wellness to ensure their comfort and productivity are positive so they can continue having a grand ol’ time.

Ages of Cataria takes place over real-world time, so building your colony won’t happen overnight. There are no pay-to-win features, so the only way to speed up construction is to assign other villagers to support the building.

Seasons in the game will reflect the real-world seasons. Each season will have its own distinct challenges and joys for your villagers to face. Plus, experience unique Catarian holiday celebrations each month.

Use resources you collect or trade to build up your town and upgrade buildings. Your buildings will have a dynamic upgrade allowing them to take different paths to level up.

From classic to mythic, collect and domesticate the unique animals residing in Cataria. Some animals produce resources while others just look rad and boost happiness around town

Unleash your creativity and build your village the way you want: specialize in one resource or become a jack of all trades. From there, it’s just a matter of trading with other players to get what you want.

Boost your villager productivity by playing minigames around town. From cooking to hunting, each job will have a unique minigame. In addition to boosting your productivity, minigames will also increase your villager’s skill level.

Embark on character-driven quests with your villagers. These interactive novels will define your villager’s personality and story. Stories range from small events to life-changing moments.

As your villagers grow, the story of your village will grow as well. Over time you may have events about villager disagreements, budding romances, new births, deaths, and sicknesses.

Experience the aliveness of Cataria as world events hit every town. These events may contain environmental challenges such as hurricanes, blizzards, earthquakes, etc.

 Third Pie Studios is a small indie game company started by a team of creative, passionate, and committed individuals. This incredible team formed bit by bit over the course of the Covid pandemic.
