Amitabh Bachchan, a beloved Bollywood movie star, has been fined $131,000 in integrated GST.

This came after his successful NFT sale, which saw him earn $917,000 in revenue.

This is not the first time Amitabh Bachchan has ventured into the blockchain. In May 2015, Amitabh Bachchan and his son, actor Abhishek Bachchan had invested $250 K in a Singapore-based blockchain company Meridian Tech and made $17.5 Mn by 2017.

The Goods and Services Tax Intelligence Directorate recently handed a notice to Bachchan, which he promptly paid off. However, further investigation into the tax bill is currently underway.
